The Hollywood Roosevelt

The Hollywood Roosevelt opened in 1927 and hosted the first Academy Awards ceremony in the Blossom Room in 1929. The hotel sits directly on Hollywood Boulevard, steps from the TCL Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theatre. Past guests include Marilyn Monroe, who lived in a cabana suite by the pool for two years, and Charlie Chaplin.

The Tropicana Pool features a David Hockney mural and is surrounded by private cabana balconies. The hotel regularly screens movies on a large projector by the pool at night. Free salted popcorn is provided for guests during these films.

Shirley Brasserie serves American cuisine in the space where the Shirley Temple cocktail was invented. 25 Degrees offers burgers and cocktails at the front of the hotel. The Spare Room is a cocktail lounge that contains a vintage bowling alley and board games.

Over 25,000 square feet of flexible event space includes the historic Blossom Room and the Gable & Lombard Penthouse Suite. The hotel hosts live music, stand-up comedy, and DJ sets in the lobby bar and pool area. A close-up magic show called The HUBB is performed in the library bar.

Rooms include cabana balcony suites with direct pool views, loft suites with sunset views, and tower rooms overlooking Hollywood Boulevard. The hotel was renovated by the design firm Yabu Pushelberg. All rooms have air conditioning, private bathrooms, and flat-screen TVs.
